There is no vitiligo cure but I do sell the products that helped me
Some people ask me, Do you sell the “cure” yourself?. This is a reasonable question to ask. On this page I will share the story of how I came to try, and eventually make available to others, the vitiligo therapy that worked for me.
How I found the supplements
I worked with beauty and image for many years and switched from one brand of professional cosmetics to another during the course of my career. In 2010 I made another switch to a new supplier so that I could use their skin care products with my clients. When I got my trade account I realised they also sold a range of nutritional supplements.
Having various health concerns, I started using their collagen supplements. These did wonders for making my skin look younger and strengthening my hair and nails. I also tried their Five a Day green superfoods (for general health). And I decided to give two natural tanning supplements, Boost and Bronze, a try. I was intrigued to see if Boost (a product designed to maximise a normal suntan) would have any effect on vitiligo. (I didn’t for a minute really think it would. Over the decades, I had become well used to nothing ever having the least effect!) And I thought it was worth experimenting with Bronze to see if it would help cosmetically. In my case it helped to camouflage my white patches a bit but I don’t think it would do much for darker skins.
I didn’t honestly expect any positive results from any of this as regards my vitiligo. It was just an experiment. However, I immediately saw improvements in my general health using the collagen and green superfoods. And I just kept taking the Boost on the off-chance. It was springtime and I understood that Boost is designed to work with sun exposure. So I sat out as much as I could and roughly 6 to 8 weeks later the freckles started to appear… I was gobsmacked!
How I came to sell the nutritional treatment
After about 3 years of using the skin care products from this company with my beauty clients and taking the supplements for myself, the company went through some changes and I left them. Instead, I started to buy direct from the manufacturer who made the supplements for them. I now use and sell the same nutritional supplements, plus a number of other vitiligo solutions, at Vitiligo Store.
