The email below was my response to one particular visitor to my blog, who had obviously had some bad experiences with unscrupulous websites. He wanted to know, “Is your story for real? And how do I know I’ll have the same success?”

Thanks for your message. Yes, my story is absolutely for real. But I can
certainly appreciate why you are sceptical. You are right about there being
a lot of scams out there. The sort of people who try to trick vitiligo
sufferers out of their money by selling them useless products obviously have
no compassion or understanding of what it’s like to have this condition.
Just because vitiligo isn’t life-threatening doesn’t mean that it isn’t
utterly devastating to those that have to live with it every day. I think
that if you read my whole story from start to finish you will be able to
tell that it is for real. Because only someone who has had vitiligo (and I
had it for nearly 50 years – virtually my entire life) understands how it
makes you feel.
But what I can’t do, of course, is promise you that what has worked for me will
also work for you. I suspect that this will depend on whether or not your
vitiligo has the same root cause as mine. In my case, I have come to the
conclusion that my vitiligo was caused by poor digestion, resulting in an
inability to absorb the nutrients from my food which are necessary to
producing healthy pigment. I have a long history of constipation, IBS,
bloating, stomach cramps, etc. If you have any symptoms similar to these,
then I would be very optimistic that the nutritional approach will work for
you. Having said that, absence of these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean
you aren’t lacking in these nutrients. So I would certainly recommend you
try it.
I have put as much information onto my site as I could in the hopes that it
will help other vitiligo sufferers. So there’s quite a lot to read through.
But, to summarise, I attribute my re-pigmentation to 3 things.
- Taking Boost capsules every day. (These contain many of the nutrients that play a role in producing pigment in the skin.)
- Taking at least one dose of green superfoods a day. (This is the supplement called Five a Day+)
- Getting regular, moderate, sun exposure (at least 3 times a week).
